Addiction Counseling - Addicts and Alcoholics

“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people.”
C.G. Jung

Unfortunately, for many individuals, sobriety brings a new awareness of problems and resentments. The wreckage of the past becomes clear, but the old coping mechanism of taking a drink or a drug is gone. There can be conflictual relationships and problems at work, with uncertainty about how to make the necessary changes to do things differently.

Living life on life’s terms isn’t easy. Feelings come back which can create anxiety and depression. The next step in recovery is the transition into mental and emotional sobriety to gain peace and serenity. Therapy provides a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental environment in which to explore obsessions, trauma, and the devastation of the past, in order to let go of what no longer works and move into a better life.
